| Great Falls Rising is pleased and excited to announce that our next ‘gathering’ will be in person. Date: Tuesday, May 25th Time: 6:30 p.m. Location: Darkhorse Hall in the basement of the Celtic Cowboy 116 1st Avenue South Our speaker will be Mike Dennison, chief political reporter for the Montana Television Network, which is comprised of nine stations across the state including KRTV and KTGF in Great Falls. He’s been with MTN since 2015. In addition he has been a reporter for 40 years, almost entirely in Montana, including the past 28 years reporting full-time on Montana politics including elections, the Legislature, state government, energy, health care, and many other subjects. He’s covered the past 15 Montana legislatures as a full-time reporter and almost every Montana election since 1986. Mike has also worked for the Great Falls Tribune, Lee Newspapers and the Associated Press. Mike will give a summary/overview of the results of the Legislature, along with a few observations, and then take questions. He’ll speak to us for about 15-20 minutes, and then throw it wide open to questions from the audience. Your questions can be about the 2021 legislative session, Montana politics in general, or any questions you have from past Montana legislative history. Mike will bring along his 2019 book, Inside Montana Politics: A Reporter’s View from the Trenches, which includes rare insights and highlights from his storied career in journalism, along with revelations that have never been exposed – until now.
