The election is over!! And now is an opportunity to meet our legislators and learn how to effectively lobby them.
Where: Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, corner of 3rd Ave. N. and 6th St. N. Please enter through alley (south) door.
When: Tuesday, Nov. 27, 6:00 PM for socializing, 6:30 PM program.
What: “Meet your Legislators; and How to Effectively Lobby the Legislature.”
*All legislators from GF have been invited to attend and will share issues which they believe to be important. Questions from the audience will follow.
*Following the legislator panel, 3 experienced lobbyists (Doug Neal, Jerry Rukavina, and Trudi Schmidt) will share insights and ideas as to the best way to contact and influence our legislators.
*There will an opportunity to sign up for citizen lobbying activities, coordinated by GF Rising captains.
*Book review with Aart Dolman will continue the theme of Crisis of Conscience before the gathering at 5:30pm.
The book by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright entitled Fascism: A Warning will be reviewed during this monthly meeting.
