Prior to GFR’s July 31st Gathering featuring Helena’s Mayor Wilmot Collins speaking about his personal experience as an immigrant, Aart will review two books on Islam and it effects on the western world:
Fawaz A. Gerges’s, Making of the Arab World: Nassar, Qubt, and the Clash that shaped the Middle East, Princeton, NJ: Princeton University Press, 2018, and
Abbas Amanat’s, Iran: A Modern History, New Haven, CN: Yale University, December 2017.
Since Islam is today the fastest growing religion in the US, Aart believes that there is no choice but to learn to live together.
