The State of Great Falls Public Schools 2024

Great Falls Rising invited Tom Moore, Superintendent of Great Falls Public Schools (GFPS), and Jamie Marshall, Chair of Kids’ Education YES, for an evening of information and conversation about our local public schools. Data and trends related to the state of the district as well as information on the financial landscape for coming years were presented.

The Strategic Focus of GFPS:
Healthy, Safe and Secure Schools: The District believes that a comprehensive educational environment addresses the health, safety, and social/emotional needs of all the students and staff. (Training, Equipment Wellbeing, Program-Prevention & Intervention)
Student Achievement: The District believes that comprehensive systems in support ensure that students achieve the highest level of academic growth. (CORE School, Math & ELA, Assessments, Profile of a Graduate)
Stewardship and Accountability: The District believes our resources and staff are public assets requiring responsible stewardship, accountability, and community involvement. (Facilities, budget, public engagement, legislation, Energy, cost reduction, flexibilities)

KEY spoke to the advocacy and community connections in the works as we move into 2025 and beyond. Underlying everything shared will be a focus on the needs and opportunities to best honor and support the students and teachers of our community.

The gathering was held on Wednesday, May 8th at 6:30 pm at The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation.
